TMLT’s 2012 Fall Seminar – “Cyber Liability, HIPAA, HITECH, HB 300, and HIE — What does this all mean to me?”
September 21st, 2012
The Texas Legislature has enacted House Bill 300, requiring Texas doctors to meet privacy standards in addition to HIPAA. TMLT has responded with its 2012 Fall Seminar.
Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:
- identify areas of cyber liability exposure.
- discuss the changing privacy and security requirements under HIPAA and HITECH;
- review essential components of the new health privacy law (House Bill 300); and
- describe the impact of Health Information Exchanges (HIEs) on physician practice and liability.
Courses take place in metro areas around Texas in October and November.
